Project Description

Leopoldo Cuspinera Madrigal

Mexican artist, architect, and academic, Leopoldo Cuspinera Madrigal is interested in addressing environmental and social contexts of historical industry, sacred architecture and art, symbolism, the relationship between humans and landscape, the spirit of place, as well as the museumization, conservation, and enhancement of natural and cultural legacy. He produces and promotes new works that demonstrate both evolution and continuity based on pre-existing tangible and intangible heritage.

Cuspinera has a B.A. in Architecture (UPAEP, Puebla, Mexico); Master Degrees in Management and Enhancement of the Cultural Heritage and Historical Sciences. (University of Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne, France; University of Evora, Portugal; and University of Padua, Italy), and Sacred Art and Architecture (Pontificia Universitas Gregoriana, Rome, Italy).
